In a time as critical as this, many Nigerians laments and raise abusive words at the telecommunications service providers, demanding for the cut down of data plans price in the country considering the fact that lockdown and stay at home directive are implemented, but it seems telecommunication providers in Nigeria are adamant. I don’t think they are ready to reduce the price of their data plans or offer free data. Alternatively, Airtel and MTN have got us covered with the part where we need to connect with our loved one via SMS, this is not too great for some of us, but it’s still something for us to hang onto during this period.
Airtel & MTN has publicly announced their free SMS to all customers to connect with loved ones in this period of lockdown.
Just like every other industry trying to make their contribution, the duo have decided to help family and loved ones keep in touch with each other during this period with a whooping 10 SMS per day, meaning you have 300 SMS for 30 days to all networks.
